James 5:13-15

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.

 

The Traveler’s Prayer

 

We pray for all who are traveling between destinations, spending the coin of their lives in moving about the face of the Earth. May each one be aware of his constant movement toward You, as the steps are covered, as the time passes, as the choices are made in familiar or unfamiliar territory.

 

May each traveler realize that You are the source, the cause, the very activity itself of this motion, this movement. Let each traveler be attuned to your voice, and harken in obedience to your word. May each one realize that as they move in and through You, they are protected from accidents and from destruction, from human and mechanical failure.

 

May any delays encountered be purposeful and manifest your divine Providence. May each realize that any antagonisms are but opportunities to see and show forth your divine love for all and may the peace, grace, and wonder of the Christ be the experience of every traveler. May each traveler remember to praise You for your mighty works and thank you for your safe conduct through the world’s tangles and trials.

 

Glory to God in the Highest! All glory and honor be unto You, Oh God!  Through Christ we pray. Amen

Robert Embry - after open heart surgery and kidney problems - well enough to go to Branson

Last year I requested prayer for my sister-in-law as she had anal cancer and cancer on her liver.  I am happy to report that after months of chemo and radiation treatments and liver surgery, Dee is back to work and doing well.  As of this time there is no sign of cancer in her body.  Our Lord is truly the great physician.  Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
